Sahl Akkumulatorfabrik was founded in 1954 by the electrician Svend Erik Hansen (SEH). He founded the company in the basement of his home at 32 Frisholtvej, where the company is still based to this day – just not in the basement.
SEH initially manufactured accumulators for small power generations for private use and later batteries for cars and other vehicles and equipment.
In 1983, his son Aksel Hansen took over the company from his father and boosted development; the battery product range was extended. The same happened to the customer base; the company began to export the classic, hard-rubber, 6 and 12 volt batteries.
Today the third generation, Aksel's son Peter Hansen, works at the company too; Peter and his cousin Martin B. Nielsen have become joint owners of Sahl Akkumulatorfabrik.
Sahl Akkumulatorfabrik's values are based on a high level of service, as well as passion and many years of experience in all categories. Today vintage batteries are exported to more than 15 countries.
